Despite the fact that we make gear from quality and strong materials, it still requires proper care to serve you for a long time. We'll tell you how to clean, store and transport your equipment so that it doesn't lose its properties.
Care for plate carriers and body armor
Both body armor and a plate carrier have a fairly rigid construction that ensures the correct positioning of the armor elements — soft armor and plates — on the body. Of course, provided that you adjust them properly on yourself. However, the rigidity of the covers' construction is extremely important. So, first — both storing and washing the products must be done in such a way as not to deform them. Above all, you should beware of two things: moisture and ultraviolet.
The best means for regular care of body armor is compressed cleaning air. It will help blow out all excess moisture and fine dirt from the least accessible nooks. This is the optimal option for caring for your gear every time you return from a mission.
For deeper cleaning you need warm water (about 30 °C), a delicate hand soap, cotton fabric and a soft toothbrush. A small amount of soapy water and the fabric will help clean stains from various greasy or viscous substances. For more stubborn dirt a brush is suitable — with careful circular motions you can wipe the dirt off the surface. However, don't apply excessive force, since this can lead to microscopic damage to the material and affect its properties (for example, damage the NIR coating).

Care for ballistic plates
The cleaning of ballistic plates is the most important and at the same time the simplest. They are very strong, and therefore not very vulnerable to external influences. Yes, for caring for the plates a damp towel and a delicate soap will be enough. Water won't harm the armor, but don't forget to dry it. Simply wipe the surface of the armor free of dust and dirt, and then leave it to dry completely.
If you have several sets of armor that you have to carry with you, then it's worth taking care of a cover or bag. It will facilitate the transportation process and serve as an ideal place for storing gear when you're not using it.

Storage and transportation
Proper storage is extremely important for preserving the condition of your gear. Yes, body armor and plate carriers must be stored in a "natural" position: make sure the product has no bends where this is not intended, to avoid its deformation. In addition, gear must be stored in a place protected from ultraviolet rays and moisture.
Also, during transportation and storage of gear it's important to prevent any impacts against them and scratching, since these can lead to rapid wear of your body armor or plate carriers.
